I was born in Stoke-on-Trent and, as a child, my grandad used to take me to the church in Blurton. In my teenage years I joined a church youth group and through that became a Christian. My faith journey has been a little up and down over the years, especially in the beginning, but God always drew me back to Himself and has blessed me in many ways – through my family, my musical gifts and my work as a Primary School teacher and in Teacher Training.
My husband Peter and I have been worshipping at St Andrews since 1988 and the sound Bible teaching here has enabled my faith to continue to grow and develop, bringing me closer to God. At St. Andrew’s, I lead the worship band which plays twice a month and have just taken on the role of church warden for the second time. I feel privileged to be able to serve God and the St Andrew’s church family in these ways.
